Apply for Canadian Temporary Residence

Looking to work, visit, or study in Canada? There are several Canadian Temporary Residence immigration programs which a foreign individual can apply to receive a visa or permit that allows them to stay in the country for a determined period of time.

Post-Grad Work Permit

The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from eligible Canadian designated learning institutions (DLIs) to obtain an open work permit to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

Super Visa

A super visa lets you visit your children or grandchildren for up to 5 years at a time. It’s a visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years.

Temp. Resident Permit

A TRP is a document that authorizes a person who is inadmissible or does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act or Regulations either as a temporary resident or as a permanent resident to enter or remain in Canada.

Visitor Visa

Most travellers need a visitor visa to travel to Canada. You may also need one if you’re transiting through a Canadian airport on your way to your final destination.

Study Permit

Generally, you must apply for a study permit before you come to Canada. Some people can apply for a study permit from within Canada. In some cases, you can apply when you arrive in Canada at the port of entry. Make sure you understand which option is available to you.

An LMIA is a document from Employment and Social Development Canada that gives the employer permission to hire a temporary worker.

Global Talent Stream

You may be eligible for Category A of the Global Talent Stream if you have been referred to the Global Talent Stream by one of the Stream's designated partners and if you are hiring an individual with unique and specialized talent

LMIA Exempt Work Permits

There are specific situations that IRCC considers, by policy, as meeting the requirements of sections 204 through 208 of the IRPR. In doing so, the Department has created LMIA exemption streams (via unique administrative codes) to capture the different eligibilities or criteria for those specific situations.
